Fiona Farr - -

Lectures in English Language Teaching in the School of Languages, Literature, Culture and Communication at the University of Limerick, where she was also Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences from 2008-2011. She is involved in English language teacher education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and is currently Course Director for the PhD in TESOL.

Her current PhD students are researching in areas related to applied corpus studies, corpus assisted discourse studies and language teacher education. Her professional and research interest include language teacher education, especially teaching practice and feedback, spoken corpora and their applications, discourse analysis and language variety. She has been involved in many applied research projects, most recently the Backbone Project (EU Lifelong Learning), which developed multi-modal corpus collections and pedagogic materials across a range of European languages and varieties.
